A Man & his Bird – Uncle Joey

Over the thanksgiving break I had the opportunity to do one of the most amazing things. My Uncle Joey is a falconer (use of trained birds of prey to catch game). He actually has a hawk that he hunts with….I have always enjoyed hunting with him….It is amazing to watch a bird of prey hunt with a human….Joey has had this hawk now for a few weeks and we took him out on his second official hunt…..The wind was blowing so we were not really expecting to see any squirrels much less catch one….Well this hawk proved us both wrong…

I brought along my camera with the 2.8f 70-200 mm IS USM lens attached and captured some pics of the hunt and kill…

Then a few of just Joey and his bird…..

Beautiful!!!!

The hawk is looking for the prey as Joey tries to get a squirrel to run…

Well the squirrel ran and the hawk pounced on him….
This all happened so fast….

Ryan & Carol’s — Engagement Session

Well Thanksgiving is over and my belly is full…… I must admit that the break was really wonderful….I only photographed one session!!!!! I wanted to finish up this session first thing this AM….Ryan and Carol are so much fun!!!!!

I am excited about photographing their wedding next September….

My little girl is 6 today!!!

Well it’s hard to believe that 6 years ago today that my little girl madison was born…..She is such a caring and loving girl…..She has a tender heart (just like me)….She loves to lay around and watch tv (just like me and Jessica) ….. She enjoys life…..I never thought that a child would drastically change your life but she really has…..Madison happy birthday we love you…….

Here is a photo I took of her a couple of weeks ago…..She is precious!!!!

Ok blog stalkers

The wait is over……

First of all let me say thank you to the Lenning & Williams Families for treating me & Holly like royalty….Seriously I have never been treated with such love and kindness than you guys treated us……From the personal note once we arrived to the load of food when we left….You guys went above and beyond to show us you cared…..Well I wanted to return the favor…..I have taken a good amount of time to tell the story of your day in a way that displays the beauty and majesty of it all…..

Lori and Tyson it was a joy and honor to witness 2 wonderful people committing their lives to one another. I had so much fun getting to know the 2 of you and look forward to working together in the future (ie you guys are gonna need to buy an album )
