Georgia National Cemetery- Remember the ones who served!

Every year I like to make a trip just north of my house to the Georgia National Cemetery. This year I wanted to take a little extra time and capture some of the stories that are represented there. As I walked around I was struck by stories that each marker represents. I found myself weeping for the lives who served our country so selflessly.

Take time on this memorial day to say a special thank you for the ones who gave the ultimate price for our freedom!!! Below are a few pics of some of the powerful stories. I also put together a little slideshow for you to reflect upon. Have a wonderful memorial day and remember today is more than just a day off of work!

My Run in with a Bomber!!!

I was on my way home on I-75 North bound on Wednesday evening I looked up and saw this bad boy!!!! I instantly jumped over 4 lanes of traffic to exit the interstate. I went over to a local air base and captured a couple of shots standing in the middle of 41 highway. After some great advice from my good photog friend David Johnson I keep my good camera with me at all times. This ranks up there as the coolest 15 seconds of my photog life. Awesome piece of machinery/technology. Here are a couple of my favorites!

Janie Hammock & Friends * Prom

Ok I want everyone to meet my sister-in-law Janie! She asked me probably 6 months ago to go ahead and reserve April 30th for her prom. Well I was honored to capture a small memory for her. I had a blast and one of the best parts of the day other than shooting some pretty peeps was that my wife picked up my back up camera and did some shooting with me. A couple of her shots are at the end of this post.
